We are delighted to welcome TIM HORTON to Concerts in the West for the first time. Tim Horton is one of the UK’s leading pianists, equally at home in solo and chamber repertoire. He is a founder member of both the Leonore Piano Trio and Ensemble 360 and has been a regular guest pianist with the Nash Ensemble.
We welcome CALLUM SMART and RICHARD UTTLEY to Concerts in the West. CALLUM SMART is quickly developing an international reputation as one of Britain’s finest young violinists and an innovative teacher at the Royal Northern College of Music and on Instagram. RICHARD UTTLEY studied at the Royal Northern College of Music, Clare College, Cambridge, and the Guildhall School.
We welcome back FENELLA HUMPHREYS, CARA BERRIDGE and LIBBY BURGESS. FENELLA HUMPHREYS, winner of the 2018 BBC Music Magazine Instrumental Award, has won critical admiration and audience acclaim with the grace and intensity of her playing. CARA BERRIDGE is a founder member of the Sacconi Quartet who has won prizes at many International competitions and has performed at all the major London venues. With a repertoire ranging from Elizabethan Virginal music to the works of living composers, LIBBY BURGESS enjoys a chamber and solo career and organises the New Paths and Chamber Music festivals in Beverley.

We welcome NAOMI BURRELL, GAVIN KIBBLE and DAVID GERRARD. NAOMI BURRELL enjoys a diverse career with a specialism in historical performance. GAVIN KIBBLE studied first at Oxford and then at the Royal Academy of Music. DAVID GERRARD performs on the harpsichord, clavichord, fortepiano and organ.

British violist ROSALIND VENTRIS leads an international career as a soloist and chamber musician. RICHARD UTTLEY has performed as recitalist and concerto soloist at venues including Bridgewater Hall, Cadogan Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Wigmore Hall, and, further afield.
ENSEMBLE MOLIÈRE have gained a reputation as an established early music ensemble. Their unique combination of instruments provides memorable and creative programmes from the repertoire of the 17th and 18th centuries, all performed on historical instruments.
Jonathan Bloxham, Daniel Lebhardt and Benjamin Baker come together as the Northern Chords Ensemble. We welcome them to Concerts in the West.
